Mike has over 25 years’ experience in transport systems engineering ranging from research into electronic payment systems in transport through to the design of smart card automatic fare collection systems and road user charging schemes. He was recently elected as a Fellow of the Chartered Management Institute (FCMI) and an Associate Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (HEA). Mike is also Hon. Sec. of the Public Transport Interest Group of ITS UK. While he is based mostly out of Guildford, UK, Mike also has an office in Cork, Ireland.
Mike has worked on projects in Europe, Asia and America and has advised clients on a range of subjects including developing technology strategies for intelligent transport systems, assisting rail operators in their approach to rail franchising in the UK and developing technology solutions for electronic toll collection and automatic fare collection systems. He has also evaluated several multi million pound contracts for government organisations.
Mike has recent experience of business development in the public sector and successful negotiation of multi-million long term contracts with major international transport agencies. He is regularly invited to present at international conferences and has authored numerous articles and papers in the field of intelligent transport systems.

Ann is an international specialist on the transport needs of disabled and older people, advising public, commercial and professional bodies on policy solutions to meet mobility needs in all transport modes, and in the pedestrian environment. She has led Europe-wide projects for the European Commission and the European Science Foundation and is currently working with the United Nations and the International Transport Forum on the mobility implications of a global ageing population. Ann is currently a member of the European Commission's Horizon 2020 Transport Advisory Group.
Until 2006 Ann headed the Mobility & Inclusion Unit in the UK Government Department for Transport where she delivered a major programme of research, legislation and policy to promote the mobility of disabled and older people in all public transport modes including aviation. Ann is a Visiting Professor at University College London, and is also a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport and of the Chartered Institution of Highways and Transportation, and is an honorary Transport Planning Professional.

James is a transport planner and experienced futures practitioner with some 14 years' experience in the transport sector. Starting out in a local authority, James has delivered and assisted in the delivery of many schemes, including East-West Rail and the Luton to Dunstable Busway, as well as transport strategies and policies. Moving into the Transport Systems Catapult, he moved into foresight and futures thinking, supporting the delivery of many innovative technology projects in autonomous cars, smart infrastructure, and mobility as a service.
He now specialises in transport foresight and futures as an independent consultant. By applying techniques such as scenarios, visioning, and futures surveys, he supports policy makers and decisions makers in developing strategies to take advantage of the opportunities from the future of transport.

Martin is a renowned transport economist specialising in public transport. He has over 40 years' national and international experience in the public and private sectors in road, rail and water transport management, operations, planning, research and consultancy. These include independent assignments as well as working with both large and small consultancies, universities, business associations, governmental and European institutions and the World Bank.
He is a member of the Transport Economics Commission of the International Union of Public Transport (UITP), and an Associate Member of the Institute of Railway Studies at York University and the National Railway Museum.

Andrew is a policy specialist who frequently works on cross-sector projects, but who has a specialist interest in transport and also in the consumer's perspective. He is a skilled researcher and evaluator, an experienced policy advisor, and an articulate and persuasive advocate.
Although at present severely limited by health, Andrew's understanding of how policies work across sectors and his advice on the wisdom (or otherwise) of particular policies or actions, is highly valued. He has been a Member of the Disabled Persons’ Transport Advisory Committee (a Statutory body) and the chair of both its Rail sub-committee and its Ticketing, Buy, Book and Travel sub-committee.
Andrew began his working life in urban planning, and this was followed by a number of years in the advertising and marketing industries. He then undertook research at the University of Cambridge, using marketing techniques to measure transport quality, before commencing a career working in policy and strategy development, including for government agencies and the NHS.

Tim has over 15 years of successfully providing and managing Public Transport information delivery in the public sector, and of managing long-term relationships with private sector organisations. His particular niche expertise is in the specifying, development and implementation of systems for transport, and this encompasses information systems, particularly live information, as well as smart ticketing solutions. Together with project delivery at a local and regional level this also includes participation in the governance of several national systems.
Alongside the transport experience he has over 20 years of managing and operating IT departments, developing and implementing technology strategies to achieve the successful delivery of organisational objectives. He is a Prince 2-trained project manager with a strong track record of successfully managing projects and programmes within complex internal and external stakeholder environments, and of participating in key roles at board-level including as information governance lead with Data Protection responsibility.

Peter is a long-standing freelance transport consultant with a particular interest in the development of passenger information systems and their equally important role in the control and management of public transport systems. Alongside this, Peter has a strong understanding of the way that the development of information systems and services impacts that of transport strategies and patronage.
Besides many assignments in the UK, Peter's projects have included work in the USA, New Zealand, South Africa and various countries in mainland Europe. Peter also worked for three years as Chief Executive of the London Riverbus Partnership. He is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport, and a Chartered Civil Engineer.
